Activism

Secular activism champions the principles of reason, science, and humanistic values as the foundation for social change and progress. It embodies a commitment to promoting equality, individual freedoms, and the separation of church and state. Through evidence-based advocacy, secular activists strive to ensure that public policy, education, and societal norms are guided by rational thinking, inclusivity, and respect for diverse perspectives. By challenging dogma and superstition, secular activism seeks to create a more just and inclusive world where everyone can live according to their own beliefs and values, free from discrimination or undue religious influence. Embracing the power of critical thinking and compassion, secular activism endeavors to shape a society that fosters reason, compassion, and human flourishing for all.

Community

Community service is a powerful catalyst for positive change and a cornerstone for building stronger, more vibrant communities. It encompasses acts of selflessness and compassion aimed at improving the well-being of others and addressing critical social issues. Engaging in community service allows individuals to connect with their neighbors, cultivate empathy, and make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Whether it’s volunteering at a local shelter, or organizing environmental cleanups, community service fosters a sense of shared responsibility and empowers individuals to contribute to the common good. By coming together and dedicating our time and skills, we can create a ripple effect of kindness, promote social cohesion, and create lasting positive change in our communities.

Education

Tri-State Freethinkers support education, we encourage you to come to one of our monthly meetings, our science-on-tap lectures, or one of the many other educational events that we host. Education meetings provide valuable opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professionalism. These gatherings bring together all types of people to discuss topics and information that may be important to us and our members. Through workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions, participants can exchange ideas, gain insights, and explore strategies to enhance their knowledge of the world. Education meetings also serve as platforms for networking, fostering partnerships, and staying abreast of the latest research. By actively engaging in these meetings we can cultivate a supportive community, access valuable resources, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our community worldwide.

Social

Social meetings provide opportunities for individuals to connect, engage, and build meaningful relationships with others in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. These gatherings are designed to foster a sense of community, promote social interaction, and create a space for shared experiences and conversations. Whether it’s a casual get-together, a themed party, or a networking event, social meetings offer a chance to meet new people, strengthen existing bonds, and celebrate common interests or milestones. They provide a break from the daily routine, allowing participants to unwind, have fun, and create lasting memories. Social meetings play a vital role in cultivating social connections, fostering a sense of belonging, and enhancing overall well-being by promoting laughter, friendship, and a sense of camaraderie among attendees. Enjoy social events that are fun with no worries, the Tri-State Freethinkers have several of them a month. Whether it is just dinner, game night, a walk in a local park, or a night at the movies and so much more. Come join us where there is no agenda, no speakers just a fun time with others.
